Your Coaching Experience
-
Coaching is forward focused. It is not therapeutic. If you are seeking support for depression or anxiety, please seek out a registered councellor or psychologist.
You're a good fit if you:Lead with social justice values and want your work to reflect that
Want to commit to discovering your path and building accountability
Want regular ongoing support
Want a coach who listens deeply and asks the questions that matter
Believe leadership is about people, not just performance
Or you’re just curious about what could be next for you
-
I have a lot of experiences to draw from in my life. I’m curious about how we can do things (like leadership) differently. And I really want people to find ways that are true to themselves. Let’s build a different future together and not do the same things over and over.
I am accountable for my behaviour and will co-create a coaching relationship that works for you.
I have clear values. Fundamentally, I want us all to win. Check the about me section to learn more.
Sometimes I’m funny! -
There’s no standard answer for this.
For individuals, 3 sessions seems to be the common minimum. Everyone is different and we will co-create the right plan for you.
For teams, we will create a custom program to help you reach your goals. Team coaching requires commitment if our goal is lasting change. -
In individual sessions we start with goal setting. There is the big goal you want to achieve, but what can we do in this time together. Once we have a goal, we can find our way.
You will do most of the talking. My job is to listen - not just to what you say, but what you don’t say. Clients regularly feel a little surprised when they hear me reflect back to them what they have said. We’re not that good at listening to ourselves (me included!)
Sessions may include some tools like worksheets or processes to help uncover the best answers for you.
Community Coaching brings together a group of people interested in a similar focus. The sessions will generally include a learning components, some small group activities, some personal work, and some live coaching. Live coaching can be pretty magical. When someone is brave enough to open up in the group and let me listen and ask some questions to work through the issue, the whole group receives the benefit. It inspires discussion, solutions, ideas, and connection.
Team coaching is a mix of the two. your team is connected by your common work. Our work together will be a custom blend of learning, 1:1 coaching, group coaching, activities, and tools to build a high functioning, collaborative team.
